Rabin has a problem sticking to his word. At the last town hall meeting in Lillington he was asked about various proposals that would reduce the early voting period. He was very clear that that he didn’t support that and that efforts to do so wouldn’t get very far in the senate. It seems that he was both wrong about it moving along in a bill AND was telling people what they want to hear at home while doing the opposite in Raleigh.
