The newly formed district will join 31-H, 31-F & 31-J and will have approximately 1500 members.

Search Warrant Executed on Several Local Stores in Western Harnett County According to sources, there were several search warrants executed at local stores today. Sources are indicating that people were arrested for trafficking synthetic cannabis ” Synthetic Marijuana”. One of the search warrants indicated the address of Lakes Country store located on Buffalo Lakes rd.

School Board Hires Stan Williams as New Superintendent The new Harnett County Board of Education held their first meeting today, they elected Bill Morris as Chairman and Howard Penny as Vice Chairman. In their first meeting today they named Mr. Stan Williams as the New Superintendent on a permanent basis.

Vehicle Overturns in Downtown Lillington Around 9;30AM this morning their was a loud crash on E. Front St in Lillington, a two car crash caused an SUV to overturn on it’s side. New County Commissioners Assume Office

New County Commissioners Assume office This morning the Harnett County Board of Commissioner’s held the swearing in ceremony for the two newly elected commissioners. Commissioner Abe Elmore and Commissioner Barbara McKoy took their oath to office. After the Ceremony the new leadership voted on their new board leadership and Jim Burgin was elected Chairman and Gordon Springle was elected Vice-Chairman.
