Harnett Man Killed by Harnett Deputies Ruled Homicide by State Medical Examiner. According to papers released Monday, the shooting death of a Harnett County man has been ruled a Homicide by the State Medical Examiner’s office. The incident took place in early November when there was an altercation between two deputies and John Livingston.
