CCCC GIVE Club Dedicated to Helping Others

      SANFORD – On April 16, 2011, a large and intense tornado struck Sanford, destroying a Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse and inflicting millions of dollars in damages.   That same week, tornadoes cut a path through Cumberland, Harnett, Wake and Bertie counties. These storms proved devastating to many Central Carolina Community College students.  

Girls Struck and Killed in Spring Lake

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. -A five-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle on Spring Avenue Wednesday evening near her home just outside of Spring Lake. The accident happened around 6 p.m. near N.C. Highway 87. Troopers say Kalia Parker ran in front of a car. The driver couldn’t stop in time and struck her.
