Suspect fatally wounded during struggle with Angier Police

On December 2, 2012 at approximately 11:30 hours Officer’s from the Angier
Police Department and the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance at 150 Coats Circle in the city limits of Angier, N.C. Upon arrival a struggle ensued between the suspect and officers on scene inside of an apartment, shots were fired and the suspect was fatally wounded. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations was contacted as protocol in an officer involved shooting. The Angier Officer involved in the shooting has been placed on Administrative leave as standard procedure.
Suspect; 22 year old Jose Espindola of 45 Crestview Dr. Angier, North Carolina also had outstanding warrants for first degree kidnapping, second degree kidnapping, assault on a child under 12, assault on female, communicating threats and injury to real property out of Harnett County. No other information is available until the NC SBI completes their investigation.
