Harnett County Schools

On November 19, all 1601 Harnett County Schools fifth grade students participated in the Campbell University Education Day. The Campbell Athletics Marketing and Promotions Department coordinated the event in partnership with the Harnett County School System.
Students were welcomed with a pep rally provided by the CU Cheerleaders and Dance Team. This was followed by a presentation on the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits and an exploration of ways to stay active and fit. Campbell University athletes also spoke on the importance of education and going to college. They also encouraged students to make good choices and live a healthy life.
Finally, students were welcomed by Wanda Watkins, Campbell University Women’s Basketball Coach, and introduced to the team members. They then enjoyed cheering on the Lady Camels as they played UNC Wilmington.
