North Carolina Order of the Long Leaf pine given to Deputy Sheriff

Join us in congratulating Crime Prevention Sergeant Aaron Meredith on his being awarded the
“North Carolina Order of the Long Leaf Pine”. The award was signed by Governor Pat McCrory and presented by Sheriff Rollins at the Sheriff’s Office Christmas luncheon on December 18th. Sgt. Meredith was recommended for his outstanding efforts in community policing and extended community service. Sgt. Meredith is heavily involved with the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office website, crime mapping and other crime prevention programs. Sgt. Meredith’s most recent venture is to bring to life the program of “Shop with a Sheriff”, where underprivileged and exemplary young people are presented with the opportunity to shop for Christmas treats at local stores at no cost to them. Again, we congratulate Sgt. Meredith for this award. We as an agency are proud to serve with him.
