Carolina Lakes Residents,
The main lakes, Lake Carolina and Ski Lake, will be lowered approximately 12 inches (from the current water level) beginning on January 21, 2014; the projected time line is 4 days. Immediately thereafter work will begin on the secondary riser to bring the structural level back to the original height. In short, this will enable Lake Carolina to completely refill and maintain the original lake level before the dam repair project started. In addition, this will allow property owners time to complete bulkhead repairs. Finally, the projected completion date is February 1, 2014, at which time all valves will be closed.
