Harnett County Designated As A Purple Heart County

Harnett County Commissioners Chairman Joe Miller presents a proclamation declaring Harnett County as a Purple Heart County and Memorial Day as Purple Heart Day where all citizens and organizations are encouraged to display the American flag as a public expression of recognition of those who have been wounded or killed in action while preserving the freedom that all U.S. citizens cherish. Commissioners commended Military Order of the Purple Heart of the USA Bragg Chapter 2226 for their ongoing support of the combat wounded service members and their families throughout the county and beyond.
