Shooting in Broadway

On Friday at about 0228 hours, Deputies responded to 381 Jesse Rd., Broadway in reference to a gunshot victim. Deputies determined that the victim, Tracy Antonio Moore B/M, 27YOA, of 1299 Moores Chapel Rd. Lillington, had been shot while attending a party at the above address. Moore was transported from Jesse Rd. by friends to Central Carolina Hospital. Moore was later transported to UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. The incident is under investigation, no arrest has been made at this time.
Update:
Chemelle Jevon Pegues, B/M, 36 YOA, 506 S. 3rd. St. Sanford, was arrested this afternoon at his residence for above incident. Pegues is charged with 1 Ct. Assault with deadly weapon w/ intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and 1 Ct. attempted first degree murder. Bond has not been set as of this time.
Officers of Sanford Police Department assisted in the apprehension.
