Overhills High Principal Listed as Open

The Harnett County School system is now advertising the position for school principal of Overhills High which indicates that the embattled principal is no longer in his position.
Superintendent Tom Frye confirmed Dr. Kylon Middleton is no longer in his position. Mr. Frye sent out an automated recording informing parents that there had been an administrative change at the school. Harnett County schools confirmed that Dr. Middleton is still employed by the school system and is still receiving his salary of $81,000 per year.
School Board attorney Charles Bullock said if Dr. Middleton leaves the system on his own, there is no obligation to honor the four-year contract he signed in may before the controversy began.
