SENATOR RONALD RABIN FINDS FUNDING FOR HARNETT COUNTY ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

RALEIGH, NC–

mikestoneIn the press release we received today from Sen. Rabins office we noticed that many of the roads on the below list are located in Rep. Mike Stones district, we found it odd that Rep. Stone was not included in the press release. We reached out to Rep. Stone and he said that is is fair to say that we all worked collectively in helping with Harnett DOT projects.
Today Senator Ronald Rabin and Representative David Lewis were able to find available funds for road improvements in Harnett County. The improvements will go towards Hickorydale Lane/Lucas and Tucker Lane from SR 1209 (Barbeque Church Road) to the dead end, Ernest Lane from SR 2039 (Walker Road) to the dead end, and Bond Lane from NC 27 to the dead. The Department of Transportation proposes to make improvements to bring the roads up to minimum state standards for addition to the state road system. The construction of these improvements will be at no cost to Harnett County.

“Infrastructure is one of the keys to economic development. We have been working closely with Senate and House Transportation Committees to get these funds in place.” Sen. Rabin said.

Senator Rabin and Representative Lewis were pleased to give this information to the Harnett County Commissioners for review and action.

“Supporting Harnett County infrastructure is a priority of mine.  These available funds will allow us to update and grow our community.”  Rep. Lewis said.

Senator Rabin represents Harnett, Lee and Johnston Counties.  Representative Lewis represents Harnett County.
