Commissioner House Abuses Power in Police Report

Commissioner House Involved in Trespassing and Argument over the Weekend

Gary House

Gary House

NarrativeReceived a call to the Lillington Town Park in reference to a youth baseball team practicing
on the ball field. According to the Town of Lillington Parks and Recreation, without prior
permission, no one shall be permitted to use the fields. This is a liability issue. I spoke
with Coach Gary House and instructed him that if he did not have prior permission to use the
field that he would need to wrap up practice and head home. Coach House asked,  ” Why they
couldn’t be there if their taxes paid for the field. He said,  “I know Glenn McFadden is behind
this.” I told him that I was instructed   to ask them to leave if they did not have prior
permission. Everyone packed up and left the park.
At 1130 hrs, Coach House came to the Lillington Police Department to continue his distress.
Coach House informed me that he was a Harnett County Commissioner and they give $6000 a year to
the Town of Lillington Parks and Recreation and he would see to it that those funds be
discontinued.    If we didn’t get a raise this year we could thank him. I told Coach House that if
he had a complaint to file it with the Town Manager during the working week. Coach House left
by saying he would call every time a child is playing in the park and that we would have to
make them leave, just as we did his baseball team.
Nothing further.

Stupid is stupid does. How stupid can Gary House be, he thinks if the county sends funding he has free access and reins. Guess that is what he had at Good Hope, everything free maybe. Maybe they will give him a free bed in Mental Ward and maybe the Sheriff can lock up the other two. On Monday we are paying a bill that he created with Jim Burgin which was a abuse of power and Tuesday he will be probably want the insurance company to insure his legal fees when he gets charged for trespassing on the Town’s baseball field. He has no money and has lost his mind

What gall. We need to rid our county government of this imbecile

This man is ignorant and needs to be fired from board of commissioners, and Burgin needs to go with him.

Not defending Commissioner House, but dosen’t our tax dollars pay for those fields? Can’t we afford an extra $25 a month on some liability insurance?

Are you a taxpaying Lillington resident Belinda? The Lillington taxpayers pay $400,000 a year on the recreational amenities in their town. Every town in the County has their own ball parks and all of them have the same policies in reserving and paying fees for the use of their fields. Even the County charges fees for the use of their fields. I believe Gary House is aware of this and has been informed numerous times about the policies. Why did Gary House have to put up such a stink in Lillington? Oh that is right…Glenn McFadden is the mayor there.. The traveling teams are expensive because of all the fees and travel expenses…if you cant pay them, perhaps you should go back to playing on the town teams. Btw, which insurance company gave you a quote of $25 a month for liability insurance? Is that to cover all ball fields in the County? Do you want the Town of Lillington to pick up that tab too?
