Buies Creek Former Firefighter Arrested for Credit Card Theft and Removed from Duty
According to sources, former Firefighter Steven Ray Lambert with the Buies Creek Fire Department was arrested on charges of credit card theft, unauthorized use of card and stealing gas.  According to Fire Chief Justin Riwestahl the department started a full investigation after a spot check of their financial records were performed and it showed a spike in usage. At that time Chief Riwestahl made contact with the Harnett County Sheriff’s office and the camera footage from the stores of interest were reviewed and confirmed the theft had occurred by Mr. Lambert. Chief Riwestahl relieved Mr. Lambert of all duties associated with Buies Creek Fire department and Lambert was taken into custody.
