Buies Creek Elementary Principal, Sharon Johnson, participated in the BOOK IT Principal Challenge for National Young Readers Week on November 12. Pizza Hut and its BOOK IT! Program challenges principals across the United States to become …shining examples for literacy and the BOOK IT! Program by choosing one day to read all day long!
Principal Johnson read to students at Buies Creek Elementary from a throne dressed as a princess! She read to the students to celebrate BOOK IT’s! 30th Birthday and to raise awareness for the importance of literacy, generate a passion for reading among young people AND to kick off the Sir Readalot’s Castle Book Fair!
