Erwin Elementary students had the opportunity to meet Sharon Draper, New York Times Best Selling Author

Erwin Elementary students had the opportunity to meet Sharon Draper, New York Times Best Selling Author and five time Coretta Scott King Book Award winner, on January 21st. Ms. Draper spoke at Quail Ridge Bookstore in Raleigh about her newest book, Stella by Starlight. The students gave Ms. Draper a book of letters they composed explaining how her work has inspired them. Flattered and touched by the students’ heart-felt words, she presented them with writing journals.
