Congratulations to Mrs. Evelyn Langston for being honored by the Board of Education for having 63 years of service to public school children!!
Mrs. Langston started working in 1951 and spent twelve years working in Cumberland County. In 1962 she joined the staff of Dunn High School (and then Dunn Middle) as the school secretary worked there until 1991 when she retired the first time.
Mrs. Langston came back to work in 1992 at Wayne Avenue School as the receptionist/secretary and spent the next 22 years serving students at the school.
Mrs. Langston has touched the lives of countless generations of families in the Dunn area and dedicated her life to working with young people.
She will be honored at the State Board of Education meeting for her years of service on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
