On April 24, 2013 at approximately 20:00 hours the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call in reference to a gunshot wound to an individual and that the individual was on the way to the hospital. The phone cut off and no other information was obtained. Shortly afterwards a member of the Highway Patrol located an individual on the side of McLean Chapel Church Rd. Bunnlevel with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the leg. Once Deputies arrived on scene it was determined that three persons suffered gunshot wounds. The individual located on Mclean Chapel Church Rd. was transported by EMS to Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Two other individuals were transported in private vehicles to Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital. One of those individuals was later air lifted to UNC Hospital.
No arrest(s) have been made. The incident is under investigation. At this time there are no other viable details that can be released. We will update the case as information becomes available.
