Gary House Blows Whistle on Chairman Burgin
Gary House states that Chairman Jim Burgin was involved in receiving documents and the investigation of public utilities.
Tables are turning and the clouds are getting darker in the county Public utilities lawsuit, which names Commissioner Gary House and former county employee Randy Rogers as defendants. The suit was commenced by the county to seek civil relief from the two named defendants. The case surrounds documents that were taken from the public utilities department and distributed to the other defendant.
In the last year Chairman Burgin has denied knowing about the documents and there origin, in articles in “The Daily Record” Mr. Burgin was quoted “I am not sure where the documents came from I get stuff all of the time so I can’t be sure where they came from. In another article Mr. Burgin denied having the documents and then admitted to having them but there was nothing in the documents that he was not privileged to have as a Commissioner.
A new twist has developed in the last two day with Commissioner Gary House long time allies of Jim Burgin posting these new comments on his public Facebook account, “Gary A. House
I find it very ironic that commissioner Burgin was always receptive to the findings of Randy Rogers—meeting with him at my office, at his office, at Les merritt’s ( the former state auditor) office, at his office, at Simonz, at our attorneys office and at my office with Tim Payseur. There were also telephone calls. Commissioner Burgin also sought out Ricky Temple and verified claims of Rogers. Yet now he elects to keep both Rogers and me in a lawsuit that he knows is filled with false allegations…

- Question of the year—- first of all I want to say this lawsuit is filled with false allegations — if the lawsuit has merit, why is commissioner Burgin not a party to it?? He knew who Randy rogers was from day one. He knew Rogers was making copies of public documents. He knew Rogers was providing him copies of public documents. He knew Rogers was recording conversations. He met with Rogers and others. He never told me nor Rogers that he thought Rogers was doing anything wrong. He never told who Rogers was. Is Burgin not a party to this lawsuit because of his wealth or for some other reason??
Gary A. House Burgin has even told me that he knows there needs to be changes made but the attorney will not let them do it until the lawsuit is over. It appears the county needs public utilities employees as witnesses for the county. I told Burgin I did not want employees lying on behalf of the county
I reached out to other employees, former employees and other governmental agencies to verify the claims of Rogers. I did not take the claims of Rogers as gospel without making attempts to verify the accuracy. Commissioner Burgin was privy to my efforts…
Gary A. House Commissioner Burgin even reached out to Ricky Temple and found him to be very credible. Temple verified many of the claims of Randy Rogers
After these postings surfaced on Gary House’s facebook page many people are asking the same question as Mr. House, why is Jim Burgin not part of the lawsuit? In recent County meetings Mr. House has voiced his opinion on different things that have been presented to the board and has asked the hard questions that need to be put out there for the people of the county to see. From the posting on Mr. House’s facebook page he is only requesting that the truth be put out for the people of the county. These recent events for Mr. House have gained him support in the most recent County meeting over the recreational fees and on social media.
