Harnett Sheriff’s Deputy Dragged 50FT by Vehicle

School resource office, Deputy Mark Hornsby was involved in an incident at Western Harnett High School this morning. According to resources there were two students involved in a physical altercation this morning on a Harnett County school bus. When the Deputy got the teenagers off of the bus one of them called their mother to come to the school. Upon arrival to the school the deputy and mother got into an altercation and the deputy told the mother she was under arrest. The mother drove off from the scene dragging the Deputy some 50ft. The deputy is in good Condition and suffered a ripped uniform. This is an ongoing investigation and we will let you know of new developments as they are released.
