Mr. Bruce Daniel Lucas, Sr., 70, of Erwin died Tuesday at his residence. Arrangements will be announced.
Mrs. Nell Piercy Pope
December 26, 1922 – November 04, 2013
Mrs. Nell Piercy Pope, 90, of Dunn died Monday evening at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary W. Piercy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert C. Pope, and a brother, Robert Eugene Piercy.
Nell was a member of the Dunn Homemakers Club and a longtime member of The First Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery by Dr. David Sherrod.
She is survived by two sons, Charlie Pope and wife Glenis of Rotunda West, FL, Robert Pope of Jacksonville, FL, two daughters, Phyllis Clayton and finance David Bass of Coats, Janice Nelson and husband Robert of Lumberton, two sisters, Mary Lou Potts of Canwan, CN, Frances P. Rampp of Harpers Ferry, WVA, a grandson, Robert Clayton.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times at the home of Phyllis Clayton, 343 McLamb Rd. in Coats. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 901 N. Park Ave. Dunn, NC 28334. Arrangements are by Skinner & Smith Funeral Home of Dunn.
