Mr. Joseph Torok, Jr.,

83, of Godwin died Monday morning at Golden Years Nursing
Home. He was born in Cambria County, PA, on November 20, 1929 to the late Joseph
and Julia Kish Torok. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Kettler
and Julia La Pietra.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army during the Korean
War and was a self employed carpenter.

A graveside service will be held
Thursday at 2 p.m. at Old Bluff Cemetery by Rev. Richard De Priter.

He
is survived by his wife, Mary Torok of Godwin, a stepson, Richard Hite of
Providence Rhode Island, a stepdaughter, Jacqualine H. Bell of Concord, CA,
nephews, Alan Kettler and Douglas La Pietra nieces, Karen Rowan and Diane La
Pietra, four step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

The
family will receive friends following the graveside service. Arrangements are by
Skinner & Smith Funeral Home of Dunn.

Donald Keith Upchurch

August 18, 1941 – November 09, 2013

Mr. Donald Keith Upchurch, 72, of Dunn died Saturday evening at Wake Medical Center.
He was born in Harnett County to the late Fred and Agnes Bethune Upchurch. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine Norris Upchurch, a son; D.K. Upchurch, and a brother; Charles Upchurch. Mr. Upchurch was a retired Correctional Officer with the NC Department of Correction.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
Mr. Upchurch is survived by a daughter; Betty J. Cahoon and husband Jeffrey of Clayton, a brother; Ray Upchurch of Godwin, a sister; Faye Jones of Angier, a step-son; Kenneth Warren of Buies Creek, a step-daughter; Doris Raynor of Buies Creek, Four Step-grandchildren and five Step-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.

OI1143243019_hughesBenson, NC: Mr. Charles “Charlie” Edward Hughes, age 62, of 500 East Moore Street, Apt. 310, died Friday, November 8, 2013, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Caudle.
Mr. Hughes was born October 12, 1951 in Harnett County to Vivian Hughes Harper of Benson and the late Donnie Edward Harper.  He was a residential painter.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are Daughter & Son-In-Law, Amanda Vivian & Eddie Smith of Brandon, FL; sisters, Doris Jean Harper of Coats, Helen Marie Pruitt of Benson, and Dianne Carol Parrish of Benson; grandchildren, Katelyn and Dylan Smith; nieces, Leslie and Debbie; and nephews, Tommy, Jason, and Matthew.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 12:30PM to 1:30PM Sunday prior to the service.
