Mrs. Janie E. Stewart, of 508 Walker Road, Bunnlevel, passed away November 11, 2013. The arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Benson, NC: Mr. Ray Von Johnson, age 79, of 1834 Mamie Road died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Whitman and Rev. Ronnie Hayes. Burial will follow in the Lee-Johnson Family Cemetery in Dunn.
Mr. Johnson was born January 3, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Floyd C. and Ethel Mae Jernigan Johnson. He was a farmer all of his life.
Surviving are wife, Ruth M. Johnson of Benson; Sons and Daughter-In-Law, Ray Von Johnson, Jr., and Gary Glenn Johnson, both of Benson, and Ricky Lynn and Jenny Johnson of Dunn; Six Grandchildren; Eight Great-Grandchildren; One Step-Grandson; Three Step Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Vila Mae Lee of Benson and Brenda Parrish of Dunn; Brother, Roy D. Johnson of Benson; and Nieces and Nephews.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday and other times at the home of Ricky and Jenny Johnson, 304 Eldridge Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
Benson, NC: Mrs. Vila Mae Johnson McLamb, age 101, of 1338 NC Hwy 27 died Monday, November 11, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Curtiss Tatum and Rev. Condary Ellis will officiate. Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery.
Born in Johnston County on November 30, 1911, Mrs. McLamb was one of nine children of Thomas Edmond and Katie Woodall Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elton McLamb; sisters, Mary Johnson Lee, Vira Johnson, Maylon Johnson Lassiter, Katie Lee Johnson Stephenson, and Floried Johnson Core; and brothers, M. Gardner Johnson and Robert Johnson. Mrs. McLamb owned and operated a beauty salon for over 50 years. She was a member of Hodges Chapel PFWB Church where she started and led its ladies auxiliary. She also taught Sunday school to the youth for over 30 years.
Survivors include sons, Martin Johnson McLamb & wife, Melinda, and Jackie E. McLamb & wife, Kay, all of Benson; grandchildren, Jack E. McLamb, III, and wife, Lori, Marnie McLamb Jones and husband, Sim, Johnathan R. McLamb, and Joseph Martin McLamb and wife, Ashley; step grandchildren, Anthony Wade Carlton & wife, Lisa, and Matthew Carlton & fiancée, Melodee Pattison; great grandchildren, Lily & Cate McLamb and Gabriel & Aleksandra Jones; step great grandchildren, Lena Mae Wedding and Miles, Evie, & Molly Carlton; sister, Meta Johnson Cutchins of Virginia; and brother, T. E. Johnson, Jr. of Benson.
Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

The family expresses their appreciation to Mrs. McLamb’s caregivers, Mary Donna Hudson, Mendy Greiner, and Hospice of Johnston County.
WILLOW SPRING – Billy Carroll, 84, passed away Monday. A native of Johnston County he was the son of the late Herman and Annie Kirks Carroll.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery on Bud Lipscomb Road, Willow Spring.
He is survived by his wife Doris A. Carroll, daughter, Diane Hawley Matthews and husband, Johnny of Willow Spring, sons, Donnie Hawley and his wife, Sharon of Fuquay-Varina; Kenneth Hawley and his wife, Darlene of Willow Spring; sister, Maxine Womack, brother, Harold Carroll, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
